We produce coffee at The Longford Coffee Company using four main principles:
1. Fresh coffee is at its best when it is really fresh.
2. Higher quality coffee beans produce a better tasting cup of coffee.
3. Taste is very personal; people are looking for different characteristics in their coffee.
4. Coffee can have a good flavour without being strong and bitter.
We therefore offer our customers a range of premium coffee beans from around the world and deliver them two or three days after roasting, when the flavours have had time to develop and coffee is considered to be at its best.
Most of our beans are from single estates or co-operatives and are not blended. There is a limited supply of each of the coffees harvested and processed each year and it is possible that our range of coffees will vary during the year as stocks of one coffee are exhausted and another becomes available. In the event that we are unable to source further stocks of a coffee in our range we will do our best to provide an alternative from a similar location or with similar characteristics.
In 2017 we decided to complement our range of coffees with a new range of teas and fruit/herbal infusions using the 'Longford Tea' brand name. We have selected a collection of black and blended teas, together with a number of fruit and herbal infusions which we hope will appeal to everyone.
